Support Policy
Customers may choose between one of the three service plans for technical support.
Phone calls to our technical support team are charged at the hourly-based rate. The minimum charge is for 30 minutes.
Incident-based support covers tasks that can be resolved within an hour. If the issue is beyond a regular incident, we will suggest an alternative to the customer.
Technical support provided after normal business hours is charged at a premium rate. Business hours are 9:00 – 17:00 Monday-Thursday and Saturday.
We reserve the right not to charge our customers for minor issues.
Hardware Repair Services
All are prepaid and require an ATRC account.
- Computer Hardware Diagnosis: Rs 1,000 per computer.

Software Reinstall Services
All services prepaid and require an ATRC account.
Operating System Diagnosis:
- Rs 1,000 for Linux per PC
- Rs 2,500 for Windows per PC
- Rs 4,000 for an Apple Mac PC
Data backup for reinstall:
- Rs 1,500 per gigabyte.
All files shall be copied into CDRs or DVDRs in the respective directories. The format shall be TAR GZIP (.tgz) for Unix/Linux and PKWare’s ZIP (.zip) for Windows based files.
The hard disk, partitions and directory structures need to be intact for backup services to be availed.
The responsibility for making the data work with the applications is NOT the responsibility of ATRC.
If the restored data does not work with the applications or the client is not able to get it to work, then the client shall not hold ATRC liable for any damages caused to anyone or any entity due to the data not working with the applications.
Getting restored data with applications is a separate service which is not available for all applications and needs to be negotiated separately with ATRC or other such service providers.
For applications provided to clients via a third party, the client may need to call the third party software vendor to get the applications running with the files restored.
Supported Operating Systems: Linux. Other operating systems might be available but not guaranteed.
Computer pick and drop from a single location to ATRC:
A computer is defined as the CPU casing which holds the motherboard, hard disks, and CDROMs. It does not include the accessories connected to it like Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Scanner, and others.

Monitor Repair
The price range for repairing a monitor is usually Rs 500 – Rs 3,000 but depends on the parts required.
If the repair charges for a monitor are more than Rs 1,500 then ATRC shall call the client to ask their consent before making the repairs.
Monitor pick and drop charges are the same as for a computer.
Only repairing charges shall be charged if the client picks and drops the hardware at ATRC.
Maximum Holding Time of Client Hardware at ATRC
There are cases where the client does not collect the hardware, is not available in Karachi for returning the hardware to, and not contactable to inform them of hardware to be returned.
In such cases ATRC shall hold the client’s hardware for free for up to 30 days after receipt of the hardware. After the first 30 days are over, a holding charge of Rs 200 per day shall be added to the cost of repairing.
If the client is not available for 180 days after the receiving time, then ATRC shall sell off the hardware and shall hold the money minus the repairing and holding charges for the client for up to 360 days.
If the client is not available for returning the remaining money or does not collect it from ATRC within 360 days after initial receipt, then the client shall not hold ATRC responsible for returning the hardware or any money recovered from selling it.
This policy is implemented to prevent unlimited pileups of hardware in the ATRC shop.
