1About the Program
Remote Support LLC and ATRC run a fully remote internship built on a simple principle: skills are proven on real deliverables, not on attendance. Interns join live client and internal projects under supervision, work to documented standards, and are evaluated against clear, published criteria.
Fully Remote
Work from anywhere. Communication, task tracking, documentation, and handover all happen online.
Project-Based, Not Task-Based
You contribute to defined projects with deliverables and acceptance criteria — not ad-hoc daily jobs.
NDA-Protected Work
Interns work in a confidential environment. Professional conduct and data handling are part of the evaluation.
Structured Evaluation
Progress is reviewed against published criteria at each level, with written feedback before advancement.
Program model: the internship sits inside ATRC's “Zero Employee, Fully Projectized” framework — a model where contribution, documentation, and project outcomes determine progression and reward. Read about Zero Employees PEM →
2What You Will Learn
Interns are placed according to aptitude and project need. Typical learning tracks include:
IT Support L1–L4
Helpdesk workflow, ticket hygiene, escalation paths, root-cause documentation, and remote troubleshooting.
Linux & Open Source
Server administration basics, package management, shell scripting, service monitoring, and hardening.
ERP & CRM
Dolibarr, SuiteCRM, and Apache OFBiz — configuration, data migration, and user training support.
Cloud & Collaboration
Nextcloud deployment and administration, backup workflows, and cloud service management.
Security & Compliance
Backup and disaster recovery, monitoring fundamentals, and awareness of SOC 2 / HIPAA / ISO 27001 expectations.
Data & Business Intelligence
Data warehousing concepts, reporting, and BI support tasks on live data environments.
Project Management (PEM)
ATRC's Project Execution Method — scoping, deliverable tracking, documentation, and handover.
Network Monitoring
Zabbix fundamentals: hosts, templates, triggers, dashboards, and alert escalation.
Documentation & Communication
Writing runbooks and SOPs, client-facing updates, and clear written handovers — the core of remote work.
Free learning resources: interns get access to the ATRC LMS and the public training catalog. Open LMS → | Training catalog →
3The Five-Level Pathway
Progression is based on demonstrated competence, documented deliverables, and reliability — not on time served. Level titles below are indicative; the ATRC Talent Development Program page is the authoritative description of the structure.
Foundation & Evaluation
Orientation, NDA, tooling setup, and supervised practice tasks. This is an assessment phase: it is unpaid, and completion is not automatic — it depends on demonstrated reliability, documentation quality, and willingness to learn.
Assisted Delivery
You contribute to live projects under review. From this level, participants may become eligible for project shares or equity tied to the value of their contribution — not to hours logged.
Independent Contributor
You own defined deliverables end-to-end, write the documentation, and hand over to operations. Contribution weighting increases with scope and responsibility.
Lead & Mentor
You lead a small project workstream and mentor Level 1–2 interns. Reviewing other people's work and maintaining quality standards become part of your responsibility.
Project Manager / Partner Track
You scope and run projects, manage stakeholders, and take responsibility for outcomes. Top performers may be invited onto the partner or joint-venture track. See partnership options →
4Compensation & Recognition
We state this plainly so there are no surprises. The internship is an investment of your time in your own capability, with a real path to project-based reward — but it is not a salaried or hourly job.
Level 1 — Unpaid
The evaluation phase is unpaid. No stipend, no hourly rate, no per-task payment.
Level 2 and above — Project Shares / Equity
Eligible participants may receive project shares or equity based on the value and scope of their contribution, per written agreement.
What changed on this page
| Topic | Previously stated (incorrect) | Current model (correct) |
|---|---|---|
| Payment basis | “Daily work or task-based” payment | Project shares / equity from Level 2 onward |
| Hourly compensation | “Compensation for hours worked” | No hourly compensation at any level of the internship |
| Level 1 | Implied paid engagement | Unpaid evaluation phase, stated explicitly |
| Reward logic | Time and tasks | Value of delivered contribution, per written agreement |
Please note: Remote Support LLC does not charge interns any fee, does not ask for payment for training, placement, or “registration”, and does not offer hourly, daily, or per-task wages during the internship. If you receive a message claiming otherwise, treat it as fraudulent and report it to info@remote-support.space.
What you gain regardless of level
- Real project experience on live, documented, NDA-protected work you can reference.
- A written record of deliverables — runbooks, SOPs, and handover documents.
- Structured written feedback at each review point.
- Free access to the ATRC LMS and training catalog.
- A defined progression path toward project ownership and the partner track.
5Who Should Apply
We are looking for
- Reliability: you meet agreed deadlines and communicate early when something slips.
- Written clarity: you can explain what you did and why, in plain language.
- Curiosity: you read documentation, test things, and ask precise questions.
- Integrity: you respect confidentiality, client data, and access boundaries.
- Basic access: a computer, a stable internet connection, and several focused hours per week.
Nice to have (not required)
- Any Linux, networking, or scripting exposure.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools, Git, or documentation platforms.
- Coursework or self-study in IT, computer science, or business systems.
- Prior customer-facing or support experience.
Before you apply, be clear on the trade-off: Level 1 is unpaid and requires a genuine time commitment. If you need immediate income, this program is not the right fit — and we would rather tell you now than waste your time.
